What is Advanced Laser Aesthetics

Laser uses frequencies of high intensity light to penetrate just below the skin surface, treating either the melanin that makes up brown ‘age spots’ or the blood vessels that create broken capillaries, leaving you with a more even skin tone.
Laser is an excellent way to boost collagen and elastin which plumps up the skin and gives you a fresher look and refines large pores.
Laser is effective in treating and erasing mild sun damage, freckles, irregular pigmentation and light brown spots on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands.

Sun Damage

Sun Damage treated by Advanced Laser Aesthetics

Sun spots, those brown spots and patches that appear on the skin after years of fun in the sun, can be effectively removed with laser. Sun spots, which include age spots, liver spots, freckles and other benign pigmented lesions resulting from sun-damage, can be removed from nearly any body area. Most commonly we treat sun spots on the face, arms, hands, chest and back. Laser removal of sun spots can significantly enhance your skin’s appearance. Birth marks can also be removed by laser.

  • How many treatments are required to remove sun spots?   5-6 treatments are usually required to remove sun spots, freckles, age spots, birth marks, and other types of pigmented lesions.
  • How long is a treatment session?  The treatment time depends on the number of sun spots to be removed. Typical treatments are 20 to 30 minutes per session.
  • Will the sun spots be permanently removed?   With treatments the sun spots will fade and disappear. New spots may appear in previously sun-damaged skin as the aging process continues. On-going exposure to the sun will likely create new spots, particularly in those that freckle or burn easily. Birth marks and brown spots not caused by sun-damage may gradually return with time following laser brown spot removal.
  • How can sun spots be prevented?  The incidence of sun spot formation can be significantly reduced by limiting sun exposure. Avoid sun-bathing and always wear sunscreen when outdoors. ( At least a 30SPF )
